The mysterious blogger Hilath Rasheed has acknowledged promoting gay rights in the Maldives. This was mentioned in an article published in his blog on April 3rd:“One last irritation I need to “file away” while I’m in Maldives…”

“I understand Maldives society. I have seen things. Maybe too much in fact. So all I can say is that I feel pity for all those gay men who are forced to dupe women into marrying them and bearing their children in order for them to lead a ‘normal straight life’ that the larger society expects them of. South Asia is a hypocritical subcontinent where people are only concerned with appearances. The Wahhabi-Salafists are not helping the situation either.”
“But I’ll let Maldivian gays fight for their own rights, because, as one of my closeted gay AWACTSs [Acquaintances who are closer than strangers] recently scolded me bitterly: “Why are you fighting for our rights, Hilath? You are making the situation worse. You are limiting the already narrow breathing space we have carved for ourselves in this society. There’s more space in the closet you know.”
If the blogger thinks he is a woman trapped in a man’s body, I suggest him two choices. He can undergo a painful surgery to remove his male reproductive system and implant artificial breasts. Or he can undergo therapy and counseling. The fact is even if he undergoes painful surgery, remove his penis and implant artificial breasts, he can never truly be a woman—maybe he can be a Franken-woman! But if he undergoes therapy and counseling, his mind might stop giving him wrong signals.
Th blogger might argue that he is gay because he was born with this instinct. May I ask, what about the pedophilias? What about the Austrian father who kept her daughter locked in basement as a sex-slave for 24 years? What about Tiger Woods who had multiple infidelities? They all apparently can argue about their instincts. Shall we promote their views too?
And it is not just Wahhabi-Salafists who speak against gay behavior and gay men. The fate of Sodom and Gomorrah is mentioned in the Bible. American televangelist Jimmy Swaggarth once said: If God does not punish America for its sins He should be sorry for what He has done to Sodom and Gomorrah.
My message to this gay rights champion is: drop your pants and have a careful look at the area just below your naval. Do you see a male or female organ there? If it’s a male organ, then it is only your perverted mind which tells you otherwise. You must undergo therapy and counseling.
